Landmarks  
1982 June   The Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Council of Early Childhood Education and Services (CECES) was established.
1983 Feb   CECES held an initial meeting as a registered society.
  May   The Hong Kong Council of Social Service invited CECES to participate in Children’s Week.
1987 May   CECES organized the first Children’s Month.
1988 May  

The Hong Kong Council of Early Childhood Education and Services Ltd. was registered as a limited company.

  June   The CECES’s first office was opened at Ham Shan Estate, Shek Kip Mei.
  Sep  

CECES was granted the exemption status as a charity organization.

1990-2000     Launching and operating of the Fun Bus, a mobile double decker vehicle that visited 180 housing estates providing informal education services.
1992 June   Started the CECES Garden Farm and pioneered the organic farming using the Integrated Pest Management method. Developed an Organic Farming protocol that trains and certifies organic farms in Hong Kong and the PRC.
1993 Sep  

The Healthy Living Project began and the Childsafe Action Group was formed.

1996 Feb   CECES initiated The Preschool English Language Project (PELP) for the teaching of English as a second language in pre-schools.
  Dec   CECES opened a Learning Centre in Nam Yiu House at Shek Kip Mei, next to head office in Nam Wai house.
1999 Dec   The Integrated English Language Programme (IELP) for the lower primary schools, a collaborative venture with the Education and Manpower Bureau, was piloted in Dec 1999, and it is on-going today. Later the programme was extended to the upper primary schools, named Learning to Learn English Language Programme (LLELP)
2000 April  

CECES opened its first Preschool - CECES Organized Aetna Preschool.

2004 Feb   CECES Learning Centre was moved from Shek Kip Mei and various learning units were developed in different districts and to continue promoting informal education.
2007 Feb   The CECES Learning Centre was opened at Cheung Sha Wan.
2008 Nov   CECES Learning Centre moved out from Cheung Sha Wan. CECES Child Development Centre (CCDC) had its Grand Opening at The Fortune Metropolis, Hung Hom.
